PITMASTER'S NOTE

Kill the autoplaying video on mobile entirely, it is doing real damage to load time for zero benefit. Put the license number and a real technician photo above the fold, and enlarge the service area text so a visitor over sixty, a real and significant share of this market, can actually read whether you serve their neighborhood without pinching the screen.

  • The homepage opens with an autoplaying video of a technician installing a unit. On a phone, on data, in July, this is the last thing anyone needs loading before the phone number.
  • Load time on a real mobile connection: 8.1 seconds. Somewhere around second three, most visitors have already left for a competitor.
  • There is no visible license number anywhere on the site, and no photo of an actual technician, only a stock image of a smiling person in a branded polo that does not match the company's actual uniform color.
  • The service area map lists twelve towns in text so small it required a genuine zoom to confirm Georgetown was even one of them.

Georgetown skews older than most of the towns on this list, and an HVAC site that cannot be read without zooming is turning away exactly the customers most likely to need a repair fast and pay for it without haggling.
